Learning Objectives:

  • Define the role of the Employee Assistance Professional
  • Review the Ethical Issues and Codes of Conduct
  • Discuss the complications and ethical decision making of the Employee Assistance Professional

The course will be on 7/27/18 from 9am-11am and will be taught classroom style. Employee Assistance Services are a unique blend of aiding employers and employees.  It requires complicated ethical decision making to ensure that the needs are met for the client, the organization and/or family members.  In this seminar, Frank Mazzola and Charles Litman will review the ethics and responsibilities for Employee Assistance Professionals.


Frank Mazzola is a Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor, Certified Employee Assistance Professional, Certified Criminal Justice Specialist, and a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). He received his Bachelors of Arts degree and Masters of Arts in Educational Psychology from California State University, Northridge. Mr. Mazzola has provided a full range of external EAP services for business and industry as well as training, CISD, and account management services for national external EAP’s, IPA’s and MOS’s for the last 24 years.



Dr. Charles Litman is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Sherman Oaks. He is also the Internal EAP at both Neutrogena Corporation and CNN. Dr. Litman specializes in trauma, stress and anxiety disorders and provides CISD services for The State of California. He has an HR background and has taught ethics for major corporations as well as for SFV EAPA.
