Ron has qualified as an Expert on Standards of Practice in Family Law in the Los Angeles Superior Court based on his more than 30 years of experience as a Certified Family Law Specialist. Ron Supancic is a frequent guest on radio and television, where he advocates Collaborative Divorce and Mediation, as well as other innovative approaches to resolve family conflict. He is committed to advocating for his client’s rights in a climate of integrity, dignity and respect.

Ronald M. Supancic has practiced Family Law exclusively since 1970. Ron was admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States on October 15, 1975. He has been certified by the California Bar Association Board of Legal Specialization as a Family Law Specialist since the inception of that certification program in 1980. Ron has handled hundreds of contested dissolutions, child custody cases, disputed post-marital proceedings, alimony cases, and prenuptial agreements. He has served as a Mediator and as a Judge Pro Tem with the Los Angeles County Superior Court since 1976. Ron holds an AV rating with the Martindale Hubbell Law Register. The 'A' signifies the highest level of legal ability, while the 'V' denotes 'very high' adherence to the professional standards of conduct, ethics, reliability and diligence. Ron as been voted one of L.A.'s Super Lawyers by a jury of his peers in Los Angeles Magazine every year since 2006. At a special ceremony held last September, Ron was honored by the California State Bar for 30 years of service as a Certified Family Law Specialist.
In addition to having taught Family Law at the University of Southern California School of Law, Ron is a frequent presenter at the California Bar Convention and various other professional associations. Ron has given a number of workshops on Mediation, Collaborative Law, and Unbundled Legal Services to the California State Bar. He has presented numerous workshops for the Southern California Mediation Association, the Orange County Mediation Association, and The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He presented two workshops at the Mediator's Beyond Borders conference in Italy. He is a frequent presenter for the Employee Assistance Professionals and is the author of the Employee Assistance Professionals Divorce Tool Kit. He filmed four webinars for The Holman Group about divorce, child custody, and important family law issues concerning process. Ron has qualified as an Expert on Standards of Practice in Family Law in the Los Angeles County Superior Court based on his years of experience as a Certified Family Law Specialist. He is uniquely qualified to offer a second opinion on any family law case.

Ron served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy's Judge Advocate General's Corp. He received his Bachelor's Degree from UCLA, and his law degree from the University of Southern California. Ron is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He is an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and the Los Angeles County Superior Court. His extensive mediation practice includes volunteer court-appointed mediation. As an Associate Professor of Law and an adjunct professor of Law and Ethics, Ron has taught at colleges and universities statewide and abroad.
Ron Supancic is a frequent guest on radio and television, where he advocates Collaborative Divorce and Mediation, as well as other innovative approaches to resolve family conflict.
