Please join us for a very interesting and informative presentation on “Yoga Skills for Therapists and EAPs.”
Our presenter is Nadia Siswanto, LMFT, a licensed psychotherapist and ® Life Force Yoga practitioner. Nadia has witnessed first-hand how yoga can support clients through many life transitions and treatment of anxiety, eating disorders and spirituality issues. . Nadia believes in the importance of living in the present moment and incorporates the practice of mindfulness into her work with clients. Please wear comfortable clothing to the meeting and come with an open mind.
Nadia will cover the following learning objectives:
1. Explore the many benefits of yoga
2. Review what research has to say on how yoga plays a part in mental health
3. Learn specific yoga skills to help clients decrease anxiety, depression, and stress
4. Put what we learn into practice in an experiential component
Nadia Siswanto, LMFT, is a licensed psychotherapist and ® Life Force Yoga practitioner. Nadia’s work with children, teens, and young women at her private practice in Woodland Hills is her passion. She takes special interest in working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, life transitions, and spirituality. Nadia also utilizes utilizes creative therapies such as play therapy, sandtray therapy, and art therapy to complement and deepen the healing and growth process.
